Flat Stanley had a great time visiting Greensboro, North Carolina.

He got to visit the new fountain at Center City Park in downtown Greensboro.  They are celebrating their Bicentennial.

He went to see a Greensboro Grasshoppers game.

He got to go to a bluegrass festival.

Here are some interesting facts about Greensboro.

The downtown Woolworth's was the site of the February 1, 1960 lunch counter sit-in.  A major event in the fight for civil rights.

Greensboro was the site of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, a pivotal battle of the Revolutionary War.
