Your Flat Stanley came all the way to

Maine and Canada

Logan's Flat Stanley made a tour of Maine with a quick trip over the border into Canada.  Here is the route that he took on this adventure.

Flat Stanley visited Mt Katahdin.  This is the highest mountain in Maine.

The next stop was a visit to Mars Hill to see the largest wind farm in New England.

There are 28 turbines and each of them are 328 feet tall. (taller than a football field)

This generates enough electricity to power 45,000 homes.

If you look really close you can see the turbines on top of the mountain.

Flat Stanley crossed into Canada.  Flat had trouble getting back into the United States, he did not have his passport or birth certificate with him.  After a long discussion with the border guard they let him back into the country.  It seems one of the guards has a second grade daughter and he knew who Flat Stanley was.

The last stop on this adventure was Bangor, Maine.  The Paul Bunyan statue is 31 feet tall.  If you look closely you can see Flat Stanley between Paul's feet.

Thank you to Logan's Pampi for taking Flat Stanley on such a great trip!
