Your Flat Stanley came all the way to my city
Athens, Greece
Stanley had a great time in Athens visiting Tyler's Godmother.
Here are some of the exiting things he saw and did.
Stanley saw the Acropolis which is the location of many of Greece's Golden Age architectural wonders including the Parthenon. He visited the Archaeological Museum and went to Constitution Square.

In Sparta, two and one half hours from Athens, Stanley saw the ancient grounds of the Spartan wars with the Persians. The Spartan warriors were known for their bravery.

The National Guard of Greece-Evzones. Stanley was near to them but nobody can approach to closely, it is forbidden.

He also made a side trip to Mount Olympus where the Greek Gods lived. Mount Olympus is Greece's highest mountain and home to the Gods of Greek mythology. The Greeks thought of it as built with crystal mansions wherein the gods, such as Zeus dwelt.

The Greek language has been difficult for him to learn but he knows how to say "YA-SU" whith the accent on the "u". That is the general term for hello, goodbye, and good luck.
Stanley especially liked going to the Parthenon and standing where the father of medicine studied: Hippocrates, and the great philosophers Plate and Socrates dwelled and studied.
Thank you to Cathy Staroyanis for being such a great tour guide for Stanley!
